A Fishy First

Most of the time, Brandon is the one who experiences firsts in our relationship. I don't say this to be boastful. It just is a fact of our relationship's life.

For example, Brandon didn't go on his first plane until my 21st birthday to Vegas. He also went to many states for the first time, where I'd already been there during our relationship.

Seeing the world and doing "city-type" experiences, I've got down pat.

But being a country girl I do not.

I don't like to camp because who wants to pop a squat in the woods? Not this priss! I am terrified that my children are going to beg to do this one day.

I have no interest in getting dirty even though I love a good workout and was a catcher in softball aka the dirtiest position in all of sports. But playing in the dirt for the heck of it? PASS!

I am prissy and high maintenance in the hair department and maybe a few other places as well, but my husband reads this blog so that's why I'm leaving it at a maybe. (NEVER CONCEDE!!)

So when we went out on one of Michigan's many lakes on Sunday, my concerns including getting a tan and reading a book. It is what I do best.

Isn't it pretty??
I was doing that just fine too and then one thing led to another and y'all I caught my first fish ever!!

I was super proud. (So was the husband.) But right after this picture, he took the fish off the hook and threw him back in the lake before I could look to see if I needed to take another shot.

Men. They just don't understand the importance of a fishy first especially where it concerns a city girl.

Happy Friday y'all!

P.S. NO I did not put the live worm on the hook. Are you kidding me??
