A New Favorite Housewife...

Why yes, this is a RHONJ re-cap. It's my favorite Housewives' group after all.

As many of you know, I have been a long standing fan of Caroline Manzo. In fact, I'd go so far as to say that she's my favorite Housewife...until this week.

I know. This is a shocker for many of you. However, if you think I'm about to say that Teresa is my new favorite, then you must be outta your mind!

But I'm getting ahead of myself.

For the past three seasons, I feel like of the housewives, she is the one that I relate to the best based on personalities. I call it like I see it. I have a low tolerance for bullshit. And I love my family something fierce.

BUT.

I just feel like this deal with the cookbook is a little overboard. I get that her seeing it on print confirmed that Teresa had been running her mouth behind Caroline's back when she'd gone to bat for her on previous occasions. It's a loyalty thing. I get it. I'm all about the loyalty thing. I also am huge on the trust thing. So this is a break of trust as well.

And yet, it just seems forced somewhat to me.

I realize that this is stupid of me to be commentating on what I think is going on, but I'm a pretty good people reader. Also, it's the pop culture junkie in me that can't resist.

For instance, from what I've read about the Dina/Caroline feud, it strikes me that Dina doesn't like the negative in her life at all. So rather than dealing with it, she just shuts it out of her life, no matter the consequence. I don't think this is a very realistic way of dealing with a person's problems, but that's just my personal opinion.

ANYWAY.

I just don't think that it was worth getting her feathers ruffled as much as she did about the cookbook comment, but that's just me.

I realize that there is still a lot of season to watch, so I guess I'll just have to watch what happens.

So what was the point of this post again? Oh yes, my new favorite housewife! Well, I didn't move to another franchise, it's still a Jersey girl.

It's Jacqueline.

I feel like she gives everyone the benefit of the doubt and doesn't decide to engage in the fight or walk away from a situation until she's exhausted all efforts.

Time will tell.

A close second? Kathy Wakile. I just like her.

Now does this mean that I no longer love Caroline or Dina? HECK NO! I just think they may be taking themselves too seriously...

What do y'all think?

Happy Thursday!

I loved Caroline's not taking any crap/family first/always stick up for friends personality, but I think the cookbook may have been the straw that broke the camel's back. The housewives have also done a top notch job of taking the cookbook over the top. Jacqueline was a little dull and "woe is me" when she started out, but I think she is great now.

I agree. I still love Caroline but I feel like some of it is just for the show now.
