Today is the day.

Today is the day I started working out and taking care of myself. I need to lose 70 pounds this year.

I know that is a high goal, but I have got to start taking care of myself. I started running this last summer and then it teetered off this past fall.

Now I'm back at it and I am not willing to give up this go-round. I want to look hot for my husband. I know that might be an uncomfortable thing to hear. It is certainly hard to say.

But I want to look hot for my husband.

AND I am not willing to give up at this point. I want to wear the cute clothes.

So give me your tips, whatever they are. Let's hear them!

Happy Tuesday!

have you ever tried weight watchers? I love it! I.m.o it promotes a healthier lifestyle than counting calories or something like that. It's free to sign up online right now :)

My family has had success with the smartphone app my fitness pal. It helps keep track of everything. Good luck

Good job! Starting is often the hardest, but you CAN do it.

You can do it! I lost 27 lbs last year by working out 3-5x per week and counting calories. I would do strength training at least 3x a week to build muscle, and cardio for at least 20-30 mins (often more) 3x a week and then hit up a zumba class 1-2x a week for some fun. It was difficult at first, the lack of calories, but it definitely got easier. I use the app my fitness pal to enter food and it tells you based on weight and height and age how many you need each day. GOOD LUCK!

You can totally do it!!! I am about 30 pounds lighter than I was when I started college. The biggest thing to remember is it IS mathematical. If you burn more calories than you consume, you WILL lost weight. The hard part is doing it. If you really want to be hardcore, yes I also suggest the carloie counting app, "Lose It" is one. You may be shocked at the amount of calories in some things. When i was my most hardcore (Miss OK training time) I counted calories and it made a huge difference. And there are easy things - like cut out the crappy soda (diet too!) FOR NOW. Tell yourself these things are just until you hit your goal weight, then, within reason, you can add them back every once in a while. It makes it more doable. I cut out sugars, fried foods, and pop. And of course you have to work out. You see a lot of heavy runners, because no matter how much you work out, if you eat more you won't lose weight. I am completely cheering you on and know you can do it. Just think, you don't ever have to weigh what you weigh today again. Every day you can be a smudge lighter. (-: You can also tell yourself that nothing tastes as good as being skinny feels. hehe I don' know if any of that helped. (-:

The My Fitness Pal app has helped me.. It's better if you have friends on there who can help keep you motivated too. When I see my friends have exercised I'm less likely to say to hell with it because I don't want to be the only slacker that day!
