The Cathedral of College Football

By now if you don't know that I'm Sooner born and Sooner bred (Class of '07) and when I die, I 'll be Sooner dead, you must live under a rock.

I cheer hard for my team and hurt hard when my team loses too.

Spencer Tillman, a captain of the 1985 National Championship Team, has called our stadium, "The Cathedral of College Football." And it's true. There really is nothing like coming to play in Sooner Nation. My school is ripe with tradition in football.

But there are some other places in this country that notorious with tradition too. So I've come up with a list of the toughest places in the country to play outside of my beloved Sooner Nation. (They are in no certain order.)

  1. Death Valley (LSU)-As much as it pains me to give them any sort of props, any place that has a poem written about it being the place where football players go to die, is a tough place to play.
  2. Home of the 12th Man (Texas A&M)-I still am sore that Texas A&M is leaving the Big XII, but that doesn't diminish the fact that they have a tough stadium to win in traditionally.
  3. The Swamp (Florida)-Every time I watch a Florida game, I always comment on how loud it is.
  4. The Big House (Michigan)-I can hear this stadium on game days sometimes, plus this place is huge!!
  5. Touchdown Jesus (Notre Dame)- If there is one team in college football that I always root against it is Notre Dame, but at the same time, I still think they have one of the hardest places to play.
Happy Friday. I'm stuck in the library. ;)

Hi y'all! The name's Samantha. You can call me Sam if you like. I am a lover to a boy I met at Falls Creek in the summer of 2005, that is a student of Jesus, a Sooner born and Sooner bred and when I die I'll be Sooner dead, Democrat by party, blonde to the core, and oldies but goodies kind of girl.
