Monday Mumblings...

I mumble on Monday mornings. Yes, even the mornings that I have nothing to do because I'm on a break from school for three weeks. It's a thing. You get used to it.

  • I love popsicles. But I do NOT love blue popsicles because they make my mouth blue. I know that I'm not alone in this. People at the popsicle companies need to look into making red, orange, yellow and green and no blue. Life would be so much better.
  • A few weeks ago when I was wrapping up one of my outlines, I noticed that ALL of the episodes for Big Brother were OnDemand. So my husband and I watched while I outlined. I kinda like to have something for us to enjoy together. Well. We are now hooked. He loves the newbies and hates the veterans. I'm an underdog fan, but he really is. Oh boy is he ever.
  • My favorite classic work of literature is hands down: Little Women. But, I also happen to love The Great Gatsby as well. Of course, there's Harry Potter, but they're not quite old enough to be considered classic works of literature...yet. The point to this conversation? What are your favorite classic works of literature? Everyone had to read some while they were in high school or college depending on your major? I need some new material to read these next few weeks and I need suggestions.
  • I really have figured out what the best way for me to study this finals go-round. So that means the past two rounds of finals have been different before the ones now. However, one thing that hasn't changed is the fact that I always feel like I come out of this weird time warp and it takes me a few days to re-acclimate to the world around me.
  • The movie, "The Holiday" with Cameron Diaz and Kate Winslet is one of the very best chick flicks.
  • Brandon and I are going to read Harry Potter together. He doesn't know it yet, but we are. He's never read them and I want to re-read them, but not at a super fast paced level.
  • I've grown my hair out, but now I kinda want to cut it to the point that I can still put it up in a pony-tail, but it's still not so long that it's high maintenance. But, then again I don't know if I want to cut it off.
  • I didn't run or eat well at all last week because of finals. This week is going to suck when I start back.
  • Lizzie McGuire...well Hilary Duff, is having a baby. I don't know what I think about this.
  • Finally, I am now Team Gorga.
Happy Monday!

P.S. One more thing! Today is my dad's birthday.

Happy Birthday Daddio!

I am sorry I've missed your birthday again, but I am so glad you're in my life. My love of music and films comes directly from you. I really should say my love of pop culture in general comes from you. I also love a good road trip because of you as well. I am fortunate to have a dad who loves being a dad to his kids. You make us your priority and have shown us what a good dad and husband should look like. I'll see you soon!

Love you lots,

Shut your mouth, blue popsicles are delicious. Also, I really enjoyed A Separate Peace, though I know a lot of people hated it. Vonnegut's stuff was always appealing to me, and I really liked A Tale of Two Cities.

Glad to hear you survived finals week! My favorite classic literature books are: Pride and Prejudice, The Awakening, To Kill a Mockingbird and Their Eyes Were Watching God!

I think I'm team Gorga now too! Except for Melissa's sisters, I still don't like them. But I'm getting kind of put out with Teresa & Joe.

Happy Birthday to your Papa!

1. I love blue popsicles but I stay away from them for that reason.
2. Can't believe Lizzie is preggers, mindboggling.
3. I'm Team Gorga as well...Teresa is so catty this season.

I love blue Popsicles and The Great Gatsby! Glad you found a better way to study for finals-they're hard enough as is, I'm sure! Hope you're having a blast in OK!
