Wednesday is "Ash Wednesday" Day.

Ash Wednesday: the beginning of Lent season

Today marks the beginning of Lent season. I am Baptist. Baptists do not celebrate this season.

I observe it because I like the symbolization of the many sacrifices that Christ made while in the desert.

I started talking to my husband about giving up something a few weeks ago because I thought it would be nice to do something together.

And we still have nothing, but hopefully something will come to us before the day is over.

In the mean time, I hope that the beginning of this beautiful season is off to a good start for everyone.

Happy Wednesday.

Big Man and myself don't participate in it either.

I am stumped too. Why is this so hard?

You don't necessarily have to give up something. This year I decided that I wasn't going to give anything up, but I am making myself pray the rosary every single day. I think God might appreciate me praying more than me skipping soda. :)

Never fear. I do celebrate Lent, and I still can't figure out what to sacrifice.

Hi y'all! The name's Samantha. You can call me Sam if you like. I am a lover to a boy I met at Falls Creek in the summer of 2005, that is a student of Jesus, a Sooner born and Sooner bred and when I die I'll be Sooner dead, Democrat by party, blonde to the core, and oldies but goodies kind of girl.
