It's August yous guys!

Yeah...that still doesn't sound right to me either.

Y'all, we made it. Can you believe it? We are officially in Michigan.

The weather is in the 80s and we love it. We hear that it is sweltering back home. Of course, summer is just getting started there.

We're still dealing with some homesickness and feeling like we live in a different country. It's so crazy and yet so cool to think that our country is this diverse.

So, let's see what have we done so far?

  • We got in on Saturday afternoon. My siblings and mom helped us get up here. We couldn't have done it without them.
  • My mom and sister helped me get my kitchen in order.
  • On Monday, we organized the living room and kitchen area. It looks great so far and I really feel like I need just a few more things for the walls. I will post some pictures of our house once it's finished and up to my standards. We also went to the Kroger and we now have Kroger cards. I feel so cool.
  • Today, we watched some Dawson's Creek, made tacos for lunch and got to work on our room. We're without internet and cable until next week. So tv series watching it is.
  • And we're adjusting to life in EST.
What's coming up?

  • Brandon has a job interview tomorrow. The place is just down the street from us. Please pray for him!!
  • I get my assignments next week sometime. So I'm enjoying my summer break until then.
  • If I don't comment regularly for the remainder of the week I promise that I will get caught up sometime this weekend!
Hope your Tuesday is going well!

P.S. This is my 500th post here at the RTH Times!

So happy to hear you made it there safely, that things have gotten set up over there, and seriously saying a prayer for Brandon today!!

Yay for Eastern Standard Time!!

Even tho it's a pet peeve, you could flip the statement around and roll with the "yous guys, it's august!!" It might make you seem more legit...southern accent and all!
