Endless Summer: Part 3

I need to note that this stuff technically happened last week. Thursday we'll be back to this week. The story is about to get good y'all.

Now...where was I?

Oh yeah, went to bed thinking about that tall guy.

So I slept in on Saturday morning and woke up to a dead quiet campground. I roamed around a bit and then went in for lunch. We had another camp the next day. So I watched a movie, read part of my current book and then took another quick nap. I had dinner and then settled in for the night.

The next day camp started and little kids were everywhere. I was technically not on duty that week. I was working, but I wasn't the fashion police. And it was a relief let me tell ya.

I was still very busy. Little kids have different problems like eating too much cookie dough and puking it in the street because they made themselves sick from eating too much. So I was busy dodging puke in the streets. After all, if I see it, hear it, or smell it. I am doin' it.

ANYWAY.

Camp was busy! And it kept going strong. I had time long enough to crawl into bed each night that's how busy I was. I was going to bed earlier because I was so active during the day. I noticed the BCM Hut was pretty quiet, but I didn't have time to notice that in all reality it was a ghost town.

Remember me mentioning the people who had a role in our story that I wasn't going into details about...well this is the week that they played their role. I almost went home because of what they'd done.

But for some reason, I felt like I needed to be at camp. I didn't know why I needed to be there, but I knew I did.

The next morning I woke up and that last day at camp in the middle of the week was DEAD. SLOW. I couldn't believe how slow it was.

It was at this point that I realized I hadn't seen that tall guy all week.

It was Wednesday.

Where were they?

I headed to my meeting for the next camp. The children's camp week was two camps in one week. And we were getting more campers that evening! So we had some gearing up to do. But we also were gearing up for the regular weeks that were set to start that next week!

We had to know what was going on at all times for logistical reasons. And they brought up the Road Crew.

And I casually asked where they were and found out they were at another camp I grew up going to as well that week.

It was then that I thought about the tall guy again.

And suddenly, I found I had a lot of time to just think. There were three whole days before I might see him again. It was going to be a long weekend.

And so I decided to make a call.

They needed another girl in the icee stands and I happened to have a sister who needed a summer job.
