Why do YOU blog?

I am seriously asking this question.

I've been thinking about it recently. I'm not giving it up any time soon just in case you're curious.

But really, why do YOU blog?

I have to admit that the comments are nice. I also have to admit I get myself into trouble when I get sucked into commenting to get more comments. It's a vicious cycle.

I started because my best friend moved to New York. It was a way for us to keep in touch with one another.

And then I met some friends. You know who you are.

I am so glad that you are a part of my life now.

To say that I wasn't blogging for you would be a lie because there are several days when I think "Oh man! I can't wait to blog about this."

I get excited about what each of y'all will say.

Sometimes, I'm right on the money and other times I'm way off.

I think to that extent blogging for others is okay.

But what about the part where I blog for me?

Why do I blog for me?

Blogging has helped me get through some rough times. And I'm not just talking about the last few months. It's helped me realize that you have to take the good with the bad.

And on my worst day some how I found a way to find the good.

I don't dismiss the bad.

I think hard on the bad. Always. It's a fault of mine.

I do admit there are days where the bad gets the best of me.

But I still try every day to see the good.

So now, it's your turn.

Why do YOU blog?

I started blogging after I had a ton of free time that was once used for wedding planning. It started as something I didn't think think I would continue (yes, I looked at the glass half empty), but it's been so much more that I could have ever expected! I love sharing my thoughts and funnies and getting comments about similar things that happened to you. I also have met so many wonderful ladies who I now consider friends. It's funny that I will tell hubs, "one of my blog friends", and he just rolls his eyes. It's nice to know there are other people out there in same situations or feel the same way. It's been a great way of expression! LOVE it! LOVE your blog!

I started blogging to chronicle our wedding journey and then it just became a fun outlet for me and I've continued ever since!

I blog because I am constantly writing in my head and this is an avenue to get it out. I think I have always done this(wrote in my head)I have journals and binders of stories that I wrote, so now I do it on the blog. I enjoy the process of formulating a story and writing it out. Sometimes they turn out better than others. I also like the fact that to I have a mini journal of our first year(s)of our marriage. I didn't start with the intention of making blogs friends but that is an added bonus.

I started blogging because the grandparents wanted to see more of the kids. I had 20+ friends that did it at the time too. Most have fallen off the wagon but I have found bloggy friends that I think I have more in common with right now.

I used to feel guilty doing a post on myself or fashion- not anymore! I find that it is therapeutic for me and I love sharing my day and looking back and reading.

Plus, I want to NEVER EVER scrapbook again. I think my kids will love to read my blog someday :)

You know, I can't even summarize why I blog. I started just so I could log my life for those who didn't live with me.

But now, there are so many other reasons I do it. All of which are important.

I really feel invested in the blogging community. I love it and everyone I've developed relationship with within it, like you. It's hard not to get pumped about contributing to that every day.

This wonderful young woman named Sam suggested it to me! Now, I find that it is my little way to creatively share my life with other people. Now if only I had more time to do it!

If I could... I would just update all the time. I love hearing about everyone's lives and especially seeing pictures!!

Hi y'all! The name's Samantha. You can call me Sam if you like. I am a lover to a boy I met at Falls Creek in the summer of 2005, that is a student of Jesus, a Sooner born and Sooner bred and when I die I'll be Sooner dead, Democrat by party, blonde to the core, and oldies but goodies kind of girl.
