It's Christmas Eve y'all!

Well kids, we made it.

It's Christmas Eve.

And I've only today and tomorrow and my 25 days of Christmas posting stint will come to a close for 2009. It always sneaks up on me.

My posting skills were getting a little weary which is why I requested a few guest bloggers for this week. And they were fabulous. I love to hear about other traditions from all over our country.

A side note: I think that's one of the things that's so great about where the majority of us live. Even, Christmas looks different for all of us.

And now I don't think I said all I wanted to say. Go figure.

So here I sit, blogging on Christmas Eve morning, with no sounds but the snow storm making its way here and a certain Christmas puppy snoring. The tree is lit and I can't help but think about how I should tell you about my every day life instead of another post about Christmas. So I will.

Sunday was one of the best Christmas services I have attended in awhile. I enjoyed the music and am so glad that our music minister was called to our church to serve. Doesn't hurt that he's a Sooner fan either.

Monday...what did I do on Monday? Oh yeah, I went to work as usual. It was a pretty hairy day. After all it was Monday. And if you follow me on Twitter, you know that I was slightly bitter about not being on Christmas break this week. This is my first time to not have a major break like I usually do and I was not happy about it. Hopefully, my attitude about it wasn't apparent. Don't worry, I

Tuesday was our 2nd anniversary. I cannot believe that it's been two years since we froze our little butts off while taking pictures in front of our church. Things have changed so much and yet they've stayed the same. We went out to dinner, came home and watched a movie on Netflix. (By the way, Netflix is my latest obsession. Love it.) This also was when my husband set up my computer to the tv so we could watch a movie on demand. Since then, my computer has stayed in place because I love to read blogs and blog on the big screen. Mock me if you must, but if your husband sets it up for you sometime, I know you'll be thanking me later. It's like blogger crack or something. It has made my love for this bloggy world just that much more intense. My husband isn't too crazy about it because it has put his Xbox time on hold for just a little, but oh well. I'm not too broken up about that situation. After the movie, we did what married couples do.

Wednesday was the last day of the work week for me. It was on this day that I got my attitude in check and became thankful that I have not just a job, but a job that has health care benefits and a good work environment. My bosses and coworkers are invested in me and are hoping and praying that I get into law school because they know it's my biggest dream too. I still peeled out of the parking lot when we got to leave work early. I came home and read blogs on the big screen again before my husband could get home to protest and just enjoyed the quiet. We went to another Christmas service at church. It was a candlelit service and again was wonderful. We had dinner at everyone's favorite Mexican place that puts Abuelos and all big franchise alike to shame. Then we went out to my parents for awhile. I dozed off on the couch because I'm getting to where I have to have my 8 hours of sleep and for obvious reasons didn't get it the night before. My husband woke me up and we came home with my little brother and sister in tow. I crashed immediately. They stayed up watching a movie. I woke up about an hour into my sleep because my dog was whining to get in bed with me. I went back to sleep.

And here I sit.

Tonight we'll read the Christmas story and Twas the Night before Christmas. None of us will be able to sleep because Santa is coming. (Hey! If you don't believe, you don't receive at my momma's house! So I believe!)

And tomorrow is the celebration of Christ entering the world so that "man no more may die."

It's a lot to take in sometimes that he came for ALL of us.

It is the most true and purest miracle of all.

Well, I suppose it's time I close this post. I've got to get ready. We've got some last minute errands to run before tomorrow. I mean camping out at the movie theater with all the good movies is quite a feat to accomplish even at Christmas time you know.

Merry Christmas Eve everyone.

there are so MANY movies coming out, I can hardly wait!
I reccommend Up in the Air with Mr. Clooney.

I really enjoyed this post. He did come for ALL of us. While I know this, I appreciate your reminder. It somehow never loses the impact.

Hi y'all! The name's Samantha. You can call me Sam if you like. I am a lover to a boy I met at Falls Creek in the summer of 2005, that is a student of Jesus, a Sooner born and Sooner bred and when I die I'll be Sooner dead, Democrat by party, blonde to the core, and oldies but goodies kind of girl.
