Where are your priorities, people?

Right now at this very moment, my husband and my little brother are in my little brother's room playing Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2.

I know that sentence isn't all that riveting, but how they got there is a little hilarious.

By the way, I hope y'all don't mind me talking a ton about my husband recently. He's just been giving me lots of material.

As you know, he has a serious commitment to his X-Box.

I thought I understood the impact that his commitment has had on my life.

Well, I was wrong.

We live in family campus housing where my husband attends college.

We get free internet. It isn't the best, but we deal with it. We get kicked off randomly here and there. Yeah it is aggravating at times, but for the most part it isn't a problem.

My parents however, have excellent internet.

So excellent in fact, that tonight we're staying at my parent's house so Brandon can get in some quality time with his buddies on X-Box.

Yes, you read that sentence right.

He even asked my mom last night if we could come and stay the night.

Annnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnd did I mention he borrowed a projector from work to compensate for the fact that he can't play on his big screen at our house?

Oh, I didn't tell you that part yet?

Well, my husband borrowed a projector from work to compensate for the fact that he can't play on his big screen at our house tonight.

My dad has a big screen that he could play on, but he didn't want to take away from my dad's time with his big screen. It's considerate, I know. It has something to do with men sticking together or something to that effect I guess.

Either way, my husband is committed. I guess I just didn't realize just how big the commitment was or just how big the sacrifices would be on my part.

You know like the sacrifice of me giving up my California King bed tonight.

But I'm not bitter.

Hope y'all are out a hot date somewhere tonight for me.

Happy Friday.

P.S. I know I said my next task was the pesky little X-Box, but you gotta know how to choose your battles ladies.

I often repeat that as my mantra: Pick my battles, pick my battles, pick my battles.

Hi y'all! The name's Samantha. You can call me Sam if you like. I am a lover to a boy I met at Falls Creek in the summer of 2005, that is a student of Jesus, a Sooner born and Sooner bred and when I die I'll be Sooner dead, Democrat by party, blonde to the core, and oldies but goodies kind of girl.
