I HATE to lose. HATE. IT.

Soooooooo....

We lost this weekend. It ticks me off.

I really don't understand how the MWC has this act of how they wrote the book on football and have for awhile, they just don't get the respect deserved....BLAH. BLAH. BLAH.

And here's why it ticks me off:

  1. They are not from the South. The reason the Big XII and the SEC are such major conferences to be contended with is because football is KING down here.
  2. We didn't have Sam Bradford or Jermaine Gresham. Those two players matter a lot. And you're a fool if you say otherwise. Florida would suffer a huge loss if Tim Tebow was injured. When you follow leaders like Sam and Tim on and off the field and suddenly they cannot be there it is a HUGE loss for the team.
  3. They beat us by one point. This didn't steam roll us. BYU and the rest of the MWC seem to have forgotten that this is week one...an opening night if you will. OU like the rest of the country has kinks to work out as well.
  4. Am I saying that we didn't respond under pressure? No that is not what I am saying at all. There are a thousand things we could have done differently Saturday night. Starting with throwing the ball. But this kinda can't happen when Jermaine Gresham wasn't there, but one or two players don't make all that much of a difference do they? (Insert serious sarcasm here.) Yes this is a team sport, but don't great teams have individual leaders that spur on the others to victory? But where was I? Oh yeah..What I am saying is that I don't appreciate BYU and the rest of the OU haters acting like this was a run away win. It wasn't. They had to fight for the win just as much as we fought to score on that last drive.
  5. But most of all, I'm pissed that people within our own conference didn't want us to win. HELLO!!!! It only helps our conference if we had! And THEN, you were GLAD Sam got hurt. How low can you be?

I'll close with this quote, I found on facebook: "If you have school pride, then you'd be a fan no matter what, and you'd keep the faith. If you have class, then you wouldn't be cheering for a school in your state to lose, and definitely wouldn't be happy that a player got injured."

I have said it before and I'll say it again.

I am Sooner born and Sooner bred. And when I die, I'll be Sooner dead. Rah Oklahoma! Rah Oklahoma! Rah Oklahoma!!! O-K-U!

I can't wait to be in Norman on Saturday.

BOOMER. SOONER. GO BIG RED!
