You better work...turn to the LEFT!

I went to work out again tonight. I figure that two for two has got to be some kind of good sign. I didn't get to work out as much b/c I was with my mom and we had to run and pick up my brother.

My husband also happened to be with us.

I love this guy a whole lot, but if he doesn't have something to or is not included in some way, he becomes this 5 year old boy that suddenly is stuck on the question of "Why?" or "What are you doing?" Now while he didn't come out and ask these questions, he definitely kept tapping me.

I am a silent work out person.
This means that I don't like to be messed with while doing it. I like to be focused. In fact when I lost all of my weight my freshman year of college, I went by myself.

And let's talk about that for a moment. I suddenly was everybody's best friend because I was losing weight. They wanted to know all my "secrets".

I swear I was like the latest fad diet on Johnson 3.

Honestly, people I cut out pop, pizza and french fries and was running 2-3 miles every day.

That was all I was doing and you would have thought I was Billy Blank and I was the new Tae-Bo machine.

I was just a fatty tired of being tired all the time and not being able to wear what I wanted.

So I busted my butt and got down to a size 8. I come from a family of thick people. I was skinny until I hit puberty and then I was not fat, but not skinny. I was a little thick.

This also might have had something to do with the fact that I played softball and was the catcher.

But I digress.

The point people is that I like to work out on my own. I found it annoying when people wanted to go with me to the gym. I could feel them watching me.

And that is NOT okay.
Tonight I could feel my husband watching me.

Then he would tap me every once in awhile.

Me: Whatcha need? (trying to be nice)
Mr. T: Nothing. Just checkin' on ya.
Me: (slightly annoyed)...okay.

five minutes later...

tappity tap tap

Me: Yes...? (look shot)
Mr. T. :Whatcha doin?
Me: Working out and watching Entertainment Tonight.
Mr. T.: Okay

five minutes later...

tappity tap tap ta tap tap

Me: Leave me alone.
Mr. T: But...
Me: No...I don't care. Leave me alone.

The boy didn't so much as look in my direction for the rest of the time we were there. I think he thought I might stun him with my "leave me alone or die" looks.

Clearly he learned the lesson because he is breathing as we speak.

Happy Tuesday y'all!

I'm with you, and I'm a trainer. I can't stand when my hubs comes to the gym with me!
