A Confession

As you all are aware, it is February 3rd. December 31st has been gone for some time now as well as January 6th. Both of those dates are respectable dates for taking down Christmas decorations. Some people even say those dates are too long. Well, I am here to tell you that I am a serious rebel.

My Christmas decorations are still up.

There I said it.

Now, I'd like to tell you that I have a legitimate excuse for why I haven't put them up. However at this point, I've got nothin.

It's not because my love for Christmas is that big. My Christmas love is big and you have no reason to doubt that. But it's not the reason.

Nope, I just haven't done it.
It's starting to drive me crazy, but have no drive to take care of the matter. My family has given me a hard time on numerous occasions. But it still sits in my living room in all its glory.

I have been in the middle of applying for law school. However, I think it is because I don't have visitors ever. No one ever comes over. I mean we have a clean house, but no one except for my family comes over. So why bother?

Maybe that is why I put it out there, so I'll feel the pressure to take care of business.

But I doubt it will work.

You blog about not wanting to seem country or whatever by reusing plastic tubs, yet you leave your Christmas decorations up until February?

You are a conundrum, Mrs. Tarr.

Unless your decorations are as TACKY+mis-matched as my family's are...then you really shouldn't have anything to worry about. Our's were taken down promply but only because the Neighboord Association routinely sends nasty letters and we didn't want to be fined this year for our "awkard hanging of icicle lights between tress".

I'm really glad I got to spend time with you in good old PLBD fashion this last weekend...it needs to happen more often.
