the night before

Tomorrow is my first wedding anniversary.

Tomorrow is my first wedding anniversary.

Nope. It still hasn't sunken in yet.

It hasn't sunken in that a year ago, I was a nervous wreck. I haven't talked about this at all before now, but I was really nervous the night before our wedding.

When we left the church, I formed a very huge knot in my stomach. The girls and Cody went to see Alvin and the Chipmunks, and the boys went to see National Treasure 2. I saw the movie, but I wasn't really paying attention.

Then we went to Wal-Mart, just me, my mom, and sister. I almost cried I don't know how many times on her. And Lord knows we saw our fair share of people while there. (Ha. I even saw my very first ex! I think this happens to every girl in some form or fashion right before their wedding.)

And finally when I got home, there was my dad. You know the part in the movie, Father of the Bride where the brother and sister say goodnight one last time? Well it happened for the four of us, and I definitely heard my dad crying down the hallway. (Btw I had only heard him cry one time before in my life.)

By then the knot was so huge, I thought I was going to explode. I wanted so badly to text Brandon and see if he felt the same way. It was well past midnight and I definitely was not allowed to speak to him at all at that point. So I had to wait.

I think I dozed off around 3 only to be wide awake at 8:30. I have never slept well the night before big events in my life. It just isn't my style.

And now here I sit, yawning, because I can't wait to get in knot in stomach at all. My husband is in the other room playing the guitar and tomorrow just seems like another day. The only reason I am still up at this point is so I can change my fbook status at the appropriate time.

That's so weird.

Merry Christmas.

Hi y'all! The name's Samantha. You can call me Sam if you like. I am a lover to a boy I met at Falls Creek in the summer of 2005, that is a student of Jesus, a Sooner born and Sooner bred and when I die I'll be Sooner dead, Democrat by party, blonde to the core, and oldies but goodies kind of girl.
