Wednesday is Political Education Day...

Well as promised kids, it is Wednesday, the most sacred of posting days. That's right, this is the educational day. I usually don't discuss least my opinion on them. I do know what is going on regularly, no doubt about that, but to say what I think is a separate matter. So the education for today is what I think about the Democratic primaries. Not technically education, but for those of you who do not know which candidate I support, then this is news aka education to you.

I support Hillary Clinton.

There I said it.

I know it is a shocker, right? For those of you who know me, are fully aware of the fact that I am a huge fan of the Kennedy family. Now for those of you that don't, here's the connection. About two months ago, Caroline Kennedy Schlossberg (JFK and Jackie's daughter) wrote a very moving op-ed piece in the New York Times. And I was surprised that she compared her dad to Barack Obama. If anyone has a right to make comparisons, it is her. And as you can imagine, I was very surprised when Bobby Kennedy's kids broke from that opinion.

Well it seems like I'm doing the same. I've chosen Hillary mainly because all I've heard is hope, hope, hope from Barack Obama. Now don't get me wrong, I think that our country is need of some desperate change and a good shot of hope in the arm probably wouldn't do us bad either. BUT with the hope message, needs to be a clear promise of direction. I haven't seen that from him. I want to hear plans and see direction...which leads me to my biggest point of the post.

The Democratic Party has had the last three years to get their crap together on the nomination. Now it is May. I'm pretty sure DNC is next month people. And all I've heard is this looks horrible for us, blah blah blah, shoe-in ticket for McCain, blah blah blah. But you know what, the last time a Kennedy was aiming for the White House, these things weren't determined until Convention. And I like the fact that Hillary is still in because of that reason. She firmly believes that she is the best candidate and is not pulling out, even under immense pressure from her advisers. The last glory days of our political system was during the time that Kennedy was president and his unfinished presidency completed by Johnson and guess how they got there....CONVENTION. All I'm saying is if it ain't broke don't fix it. So good for her that she is using it to her advantage.

So I'm voting for Hillary because she has hope, drive and DIRECTION lit up inside her. Not to mention she is one hell of an under dog.

P.S. I'm on Team Audrina for next season of the Hills.

You would make it about the Kennedys. Haha, of course you would. Valid points, my dear. We'll just have to see what happens at the convention! I haven't made up my mind yet.
